I look forward to working with a group of composers and sound artists of both acoustic and electroacoustic mediums who want to dig deep into our shared and individual practices by exploring working methods, aesthetics, craft, and modes of presentation.
I am particularly interested in exploring the relationships between other media and stimuli and working with sound. How do our external influences and collaborators influence our making? What are our roles in our community and ecosystem? How do we choose to deliver our intentions? And most importantly, why are we making/composing sound now?
Artists of all styles/genres are encouraged to apply. The more diverse our community, the richer our mutual learning will be!
- Letter of Intent describing who you are, why you are interested in this residency, and what you hope to explore (questions, concepts, projects, etc.) during our time together.
- 2-3 work samples (PDFS, links to streamable audio/visual media, as appropriate to your practice).
Residency Fee: All residency fees, room, and board are waived; this does not include travel, transportation, and artist materials.
