This will be a generative workshop. Seasoned and novice poets will be equal before daily writing prompts, experiments and challenges drawn from a range of model poems. Week One will feature in-class writing and rounds of listening. Weeks Two and Three will feature in-class writing with rounds of longer workshops of poems written during your stay. My hope is that you leave the residency with a handful of poems and a head full of possibilities.
Applicants should submit the following:
> a 1-2 page resume (.doc, .docx, .pdf)
> up to 3-5 poems (.doc, .docx, .pdf)
> a brief (paragraph or so) personal statement about anything you like (.doc, .docx, .pdf)
Residency Fee: $900
Includes a $100 administration fee, weekday meals and housing; does not include artist materials, transportation, or weekend meals.
